Information I collect

When you book or contact me, I collect your name, phone number, email address, appointment address, and details about the documents you need notarized. When you pay online, I also collect your billing details.

At the appointment, I record details about each notarial act and the ID used to identify each signer in my notary journal, as Illinois law requires.

How I use it

I use your information to schedule and confirm appointments, prepare quotes, travel to you, complete your notarization, take payment, and keep the records the law requires. I don't sell your information or use it for anything unrelated to your appointment.

Who it's shared with

I share information only with the services that help me run the business:

  • Wix, which hosts this website and booking system.

  • Stripe, which processes card payments. Your full card number goes directly to Stripe, and I never see or store it.

  • Google, for email and phone.

  • My bookkeeping and job-tracking tools.

I may also share information when the law requires it.

How long I keep it

Illinois requires me to keep my notary journal for seven years after each notarial act. Other records are kept only as long as needed for the business and for tax purposes.

How I keep it safe

Journal records are stored securely, and the online services I use protect your information with encryption and secure logins.
