Mobile Notary Booking Policy

I want every appointment to go smoothly, from the moment you book to the moment your documents are notarized. This page explains how booking works, what to have ready, and what happens if plans change.

How booking works

When you request a time, I review your address and email you a quote with the travel fee. Your appointment is confirmed once the travel fee is paid. I'll hold your time until the deadline in your quote email, and after that it opens back up for other clients.

What every signer needs

Every signer needs to be present at the appointment with a current, unexpired government-issued photo ID that matches the name on the document. Please leave your documents unsigned until I arrive, since I need to see each person sign. If these requirements aren't met, I can't complete the notarization.

Cancellations and rescheduling

If you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment, I'll refund the travel fee in full or move it to your new time. Within 24 hours, the travel fee isn't refundable, and a new time needs its own travel fee. Appointments booked within 24 hours are final once the travel fee is paid.

The travel fee also isn't refundable if the notarization can't go forward once I arrive, for example because of an expired ID or a missing signer.

If I need to cancel, you'll get a full refund.

Notarial act fees

Notarial act fees are $5 per act, the maximum Illinois allows. They're paid at the appointment, and only for acts I complete. I accept card, cash, or check.

Questions

If you're not sure whether your documents or ID will work, just let me know before you book. I'm happy to help you sort it out ahead of time. Call or text (309) 431-1850.
